How mankind utilizes Fonons

The Fonon has always been a subject of study to Mankind, and Man has sought ways to use fonon power in technology. Fontech, refers to this technology, which are single inventions, such as lights, and other items which have day-today uses. Fon Machines are mechanical contraptions, such as Lifts and the gargantuan Landships used by both Kimlasca and Malkuth.

Aside from thier adapted uses in technology, man has also utilized Fonons to be used directly from thier own bodies.




Fonic Hymns

Fonic Hymns are Fonic Artes when used in part with a melody or song. Most Fonic Hymns are underdeveloped, and rather weak, and do not have the damaging power regular Fonic Artes possess, maily taking the role of Restoration, Healing, and Status changing.

Yulia, who was a Seventh Fonon, is said to have written Seven Fonic Hymns, which are said to hold the same power as Fonic Artes. Those Fonic Hymns however, can only be used by Yulia herself, or her descendants, and one must understand the symbolism and meaning in those Hymns before one can use thier power.

All seven of Yulia's Fonic Hymns, when sung together, form another Fonic Hymn known as the Grand Fonic Hymn. It can be used without understanding its meaning, and the very verse is able to command the power of Lorelei. It is also another foundation for The Order of Lorelai.

Fonists: Seventh Fonists v.s. Scorers

Seventh Fonists are Fonists who can use the Seventh Fonon and can utilize Fonic Hymns They are mostly Healers, or other Supportive roles. Because the Seventh Fonon was recently rediscovered, and practically new, not many people are capable of using the Seventh Fonon. Those that try risk contaminating the Fonons in thier own body, causing Fonon Madness, which leads ultimatly to one's demise.

Scorers are different from Seventh Fonists, because they can only use the Seventh Fonon to read The Score. They are nevertheless popular and well respected, because of the religion professed by the Order of Lorelei. Many people come from all corners of Auldrant to just have a Scorer read thier Score.
